Luol Deng Basketball Clinics
The Luol Deng Foundation Clinics uniquely provide a way of connecting theUK and Sudan through FREE basketball clinics. The UK based clinics help to raise awareness and in-kind donations where all participants are asked to donate goods, such as, shoes, books, clothes and school equipment to help change the lives of those in South Sudan.
The clinics not only helped to raise a huge amount of donations for the children of Aweil, but also gave a vast sum of kids a great opportunity to compete and learn new skills fromthe high calibre coaches.
LDF have already started to organise a basketball tournament in Aweil, Sudan where the people of the town will be given all of the donations. A documentary will be filmed and distributed to everyone who attended the clinics. Again, LDF cannot thank everyone enough for the kind and generous donations that will truly change the lives of those in Aweil.
“It was a pleasure to host the LDF Clinics at Kingston College. All the participants had a fantastic time learning new skills and making new friends, all for a worthy cause. I for one was honoured to be part of this and am looking forward to working with the foundation on future initiatives"

Due to the success of the clinics held in Kingston, it was decided to deliver these in Camden and East Grinstead. Both clinics provided a great turn out of kids and with the help of Camden Council partial scholarships for 15 kids were granted to attend The Luol Deng Basketball Camp 2009.
